Visual Lint

Visual Lint ist ein Zusatz zur Integration von PC-Lint für C/C++ in MS Visual Studio und Eclipse.
Mit Visual Lint wird der Einsatz von PC-Lint komfortabler und effizienter.
Bitte beachten Sie, daß Visual Lint eine PC-Lint Lizenz voraussetzt!


Visual Lint ist kompatibel mit:

  • PC-Lint V7.5, 8.0, 9.0
  • Visual Studio 2010, Visual Studio 2008, Visual Studio 2005, Visual Studio .NET 2003, Visual Studio .NET 2002, Visual C++ 6.0 und Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0.
  • Eclipse 3.4 und höher.

Features in allen Visual Lint Editions:

  • editieren der PC-Lint Konfigurationsfiles std.lnt und options.lnt innerhalb der Visual Studio IDE
  • die Projekteinstellungen und die aktive Konfiguration werden automatisch analysiert.
    Deshalb ist es nicht mehr nötig komplexe Kommandozeilen oder Batch Files zu schreiben
  • Dateien können jederzeit einzeln direkt über das Kontextmenu im Editor mit PC-Lint analysiert werden.
    Die Ergebnisse werden in einem eigenem Window dargestellt.
  • das PC-Lint Manual ist leicht zugänglich von der Visual Studio IDE

Features in Visual Lint Standard, Professional und Enterprise Edition:

  • Spezielle Windows für Analysis Status, Analysis Results und Warning Lookup zeigen detaillierte Informationen zum aktuellen Status der Analyse.
    Es besteht außerdem die Möglichkeit die Bedeutung jeder PC-Lint Meldung direkt aufzurufen.
  • Files einer Solution werden automatisch im Hintergrund analysiert, wenn sich der Rechner im 'Leerlauf' befindet.
    Damit wird ein"Lint Profile" der aktuellen Solution erstellt. Mehrere Files können gleichzeitig analysiert werden.
  • Beim Öffnen einer Datei im Editor der IDE, werden die entsprechenden Analyseergebnisse automatisch angezeigt.
    Ein Doppelklick auf eine Meldung öffnet das entsprechene Quellfile an der fehlerhaften Stelle und zeigt die genaue Bedeutung der Meldung.
  • Beim Speichern einer Datei wird diese automatisch in die Warteschlange zur erneuten Analyse gestellt.
  • HTML und XML Reports können erstellt werden.

Features in Visual Lint Professional und Enterprise Edition:

  • Visual Lint kann alle Files in einem Projekt zusammen analysieren.
  • Individuelle Teilprojekte können selektiv von der Hintergrundanalyse ein- oder ausgeschlossen werden durch einfaches an- oder abklicken einer Checkbox im Analysis Status Display.
  • Bestimmte Lint Meldungen können nutzerdefinierten Kategorien zugeordnet werden.
    Das erlaubt z.B. Fehler in Untergruppen wie moderat, ernst oder kritisch zu gruppieren.
  • Anpaßbare Lint Konfigurationsdateien, welche die globale Lint Konfiguration überschreiben, können für spezifische Solutions und Projekte definiert werden.
